It’s been extremely difficult for me to put pen on paper to write a tribute to you, my friend, family friend, Co-Pastor, mentor to one of my sons and to many young ones in the church where we both fellowshipped. I still get to church and expect to sight you in your usual seat in church. I have shed tears as if that will make your maker and the lover of your soul change His mind and have you return to us. I do hope that the Lord God will help me and many others to accept the reality of the fact that you have returned to your Lord and Saviour whom you served with your life, your talent and your substance while on this side of the divide. I have lost a friend, I have lost a most reliable, frank, transparent and committed man of God. I have lost a man full of the wisdom of God, an excellent teacher and preacher of the word of God, a counselor and a general in the Lord’s Army. To say that I miss you is surely an understatement. I will forever treasure your good memories and draw strength and guidance from the goodly principles that you exemplified. You have finished your course here and have returned to Him that loves you most. Rest in the bosom of the Lord whom you loved and served all your life till we meet and part no more. Adieu Toyin. Pastor Toyin lived a life that epitome the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, a product of the Grace of God and a visible expression of the Love of God. Looking back at the time we served together at Lekki Lighthouse Centre of Christ Chapel International Churches, I recall how his insights, in-depth knowledge, and practical demonstration of the word of God impacted lives and positioned many for successes and victories. His messages were concise, clear, and full of the wisdom of God. His commitment and dedication to the things of God is unparalleled. Reflecting on those days, it’s as if he knew that time is of the essence. He gave his very best, he served with zeal, he led par excellence. He remains a beacon of strength and encouragement to us all. I know there are no words to ease the pain in our hearts save the Holy Spirit, but we are not going to sorrow like people without hope. My healing prayer and comfort during this tough time is to every one of us he left behind. May our memories of him give us peace and comfort during this challenging time. I pray the Holy Spirit to comfort Pastor Nike, the children, the immediate family, and the entire Household of Faith. Adieu my brother. Pastor Funminiyi Odetayo

My boss's husband Mr Toyin Adenuga was such a humble person. His godliness shone through in his actions. The few times I came in contact with him always left a deep impression of a good man and husband. No airs. Treated you with utmost civility and respect. When I was going to celebrate my 50th birthday and MD said Chairman asked if he could come I was amazed and honoured of course I had invited him but that was the kind of gentleman he was.. Chairman we know you're resting with your God and Heavenly Father Sir. we will do take care of your dear wife and children ♥ and promise to take Bydow to greater heights. Your visits of encouragement will be missed. When you come around no one is going into a frenzy scared that a lion has visited, new members of staff won't even know who you were because of your simple and unassuming ways . You treated me respectfully and I know it wasn't only me. Your children will definitely be like you and last month when I saw Moyo he is obviously your son well mannered and respectful..It is well with you my dear boss Mrs Adenike Adenuga and the children. God has got you. Continue to rest in peace Sir. 😇 Madam all of us at Bydow send our love to your family at this trying time. God bless you richly.

It has taken me several days to be able to write this tribute and words still fail me. My thoughts are with you dear Sister Nike. Pastor Adenuga was indeed a wonderful husband and devoted father. He was a role model, gentle, kind-hearted, disciplined, simple, humble and would play with children in church. He loved God and demonstrated this by attending every service except he is on a trip. As a pastor, he was a great teacher, soft spoken and would break down concepts for easy understanding, using stories to back up the points. I remember one day, as he was preaching, he promised to share a personal story to back up his points. When the preaching was over and I did not hear the story, I jokingly insisted on hearing the story. He had a very good sense of humour. Last year, before he travelled, after every service, I would ask ‘when are you travelling’? Little did I know that …………. Adieu my dear Pastor and brother. You were a real soldier and ambassador of Christ. You made your mark. God loves you more than we do. We take solace in the fact that we shall meet again. My dearest sister Nike, Moyo, Morayo, Morola and Mosope, please be comforted. May God reach deep within you, comfort you and give you peace. Shalom.

I am penning down this Tribute in honour of such a great Man who made a huge impact on the lives of many of us who were privileged to have known him. The late Pastor Toyin Adenuga was in everyway, my boss as my Centre Pastor in Jubilee Centre Christ Chapel International Churches (CCIC) and as one of my big Ogas at the Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria. He was an outstanding Leader, mentor and teacher. His impact at the CCIC Jubilee Centre was indeed legendary. Pastor Toyin Adenuga led the congregation by example in all true humility. He was always the first person in Church on service days. The mere thought that Pastor Toyin " very Senior, Very busy Shell Manager oo" would be in church early used to make some of us align and speed up to church. He never encouraged lateness to the presence of God. He saw to the cleanliness of the surroundings, he paid special attention to the neatness of the toilets. He always adopted a hands on approach in all he did. You will walk into church and find Pastor Toyin climbing a ladder to fix electrical wires , carrying bucket to flush the toilets, picking trash around the church premises. He was indeed a rare humble leader and lover of God. Pastor Toyin always reminded us that a man's life does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses. He emphasized that service to God is paramount. He was a true worshipper of God. Never tolerated undue distractions during service. He always taught us to honour the presence of God. He was a big giver, taking care of the needs in church and needy around him. As a regular guest in his home, I always saw a loving husband and father doing some household chores: turning his amala himself sometimes , doing his laundry... What an example? We will all miss him for now. We remain confident that he now rests in the bosom of the Lord. To his loving wife and my dear friend and God given Sister, Nike and lovely children Moyo, Morayo , Morola and Mosope and relatives I can tell you with every confidence, to be glad for Pastor Toyin He has fought a good fight he has won the race and nothing can separate him from the love of God. Death lost its sting , grave lost its victory. Rejoice !!! We shall all meet never to part no more..

May the good Lord bless and receive your soul in his bosom,Amen. I met Egbon Toyin in Ikoyi club and played golf with him a number of times, he is a reserved and very soft spoken individual and that was my attraction to him. He does not take anything to heart and he will be sorely missed.

Words cannot describe how we feel about the sudden departure to heaven of our beloved pastor. We love him so much but Almighty JEHOVAH loves him more. The body of CHRIST will miss him for his gentle demeanor, humility and compassionate nature. He was kindness personified. Rest in peace in JESUS name. Amen 🙏🏿
